To do this, you also need to relax your mind and set aside the time to do this. Relaxing doesn’t always come easy, but as with any skill on the bike; climbing techniques, cornering, descending, learning to fully relax needs to practiced to achieve it well.
Hosted by Chloe Watts Goddard, whose 700cc yoga sessions you may have attended, and myself, we’ll start the afternoon with a restorative yoga session. Working with postures specific to our sport, we’ll be looking to stimulate your physical recovery, as well as relaxation techniques to calm your busy mind.
Ever been full of anxiety, stress or nervious tension before a race, event, or even a club ride?! We will be practicing some techniques that will help bring focus, calm and positivity to counter the pressures we often put upon ourselves; easily applied off the bike too.
Sunday 28 May: Enjoy an afternoon of relaxation. The venue is at Longhill Lodge, Ascot, a tranquile setting in itself.
14.00 – 17.00 : A full yoga practice, refreshments and chat around mindfulness, and coping with stress. You’ll leave feeling stretched, restored, lighter and brighter!
The session costs £30 each and places are limited to just 12.
